HISTORY

The original Spectrascape-Cape office was opened in Lonehill, Johannesburg on September 20, 2009 by  - the current CEO Dr Keith Jolliffe. Prior to that Keith Jolliffe was with SAP America in a global position and spent a year in Australia as a SAP Business Intelligence Development Director. The concept of retorted food was evaluated in the US and when Dr Jolliffe was introduced to Theo Nel, who had the manufacturing experience, the concept was turned into a business opportunity.  Tanya Spies and Tamlin Smith joined the company full time in 2011 and an office was opened in Cape Town. Since that first opening, Spectrascape-Cape Foods Company has acquired a number of new customers, among the biggest is the Shoprite Checkers retail chain which it has a 5 year contract to supply its products. Spectrascape-Cape also has a contract to produce under the Shoprite Checkers label, the Farmers Deli range of Chicken Liver products.
